The word “Nuò” is taken from the Putonghua pronunciation of the character “諾”, meaning “promise”, in the Chinese name of Ms. Yeung as it symbolizes Emperor Jewellery’s unwavering commitment to premium quality. “Nuò” also represents an intricate link between Ms. Cindy Yeung and her daughter Ms. Jasmine Cheung, whose Chinese name also includes the character “諾”. It embodies a distinctive lineage, just like extraordinary jewellery being passed down through the generations.

Throughout her childhood, Ms. Yeung spent many joyous days at the watch store founded by her grandfather Mr. Yeung Shing, where she gained solid knowledge of watches through her exchanges with the watch repairmen and staff. In the 1960s, the family business branched out into jewellery retail under the helm of Ms. Yeung’s father Dr. Albert Yeung, and it marked the beginning of her lifelong relationship with jewellery. While Ms. Yeung grew up in a traditional family, she received her education overseas and developed remarkable insights into jewellery. Since Ms. Yeung took the helm of the family business in the 1990s, she has taken up the company’s jewellery business upon herself.
